The popular mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion UFC is back in the UAE and Abu Dhabi once again, with UFC 280 set to headline this weekend.
Fight Night is part of Showdown Week in Abu Dhabi, which begins on Monday. UFC 280 is part of a landmark multi-year partnership between UFC and the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism.
Abu Dhabi has seen some iconic bouts, the most epic of which is 2020’s longest-reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaetje A game between, let alone a match between Dustin Poirier in 2019.

Khabib may have retired with an astonishing unbeaten run of 29 wins, but on Saturday he will witness his ward Islam Makhachev as a lightweight at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Fight for the championship.
