Kyiv: Ukrainian authorities struggled on Saturday to restore power and water services after a Russian military strike caused severe damage to infrastructure, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the war-torn country had suffered power outages since days ago Since then, power has been restored to millions of people.

“In total, more than 6 million users were affected. On Wednesday night, nearly 12 million users were cut off,” Zelensky added.
Earlier on Saturday, the Kyiv city government said water supplies had been restored across the city, but about 130,000 residents were still without power.
Food Summit
President Zelensky hosted a summit in Kyiv on Saturday to promote his “Food for Ukraine” initiative to export food to countries most vulnerable to famine and drought.
Zelensky said Kyiv had raised about $150 million from more than 20 countries and the European Union to export food to countries including Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia and Yemen.
The Prime Ministers of Belgium, Poland and Lithuania and the President of Hungary attended the summit in person.
The presidents of Germany and France, as well as the president of the European Commission, spoke via video link.
The gathering coincided with Ukraine’s annual anniversary of Holodomor, the man-made famine of the Stalin era that killed millions of Ukrainians in the winter of 1932-33.
