Ukrainian troops shelled the Antonsky Bridge in the Russian-held city of Kherson again, damaging construction equipment and delaying its reopening, Interfax news agency said on Monday, citing a local Russian-appointed official.
The bridge is one of only two border crossings russian army to the territories they occupied on the west bank of the Dnieper in the south Ukraine Moscow called it a “special military operation” for the country.

It has been a key target for Ukrainian forces in recent weeks, with Kyiv using high-precision rockets supplied by the United States to try to destroy it in preparation for a counteroffensive to retake Russian-held southern regions.
The Russian-appointed deputy head of the city of Kherson, Kirill Stremusov, told Interfax news agency that the latest shelling did not cause “serious damage”. He did not say how long that would delay his planned reopening.
