Ukrainian top minister visits India. Who is Emine Dzhaparova? | world news

First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova of Ukraine will pay a four-day official visit to India on Monday. This is Ukraine’s first high-level visit to India since taking office. The Russo-Ukraine war started last year.

During her visit, Japarova is expected to hold talks with the Indian government on various issues, including seeking humanitarian aid and equipment to repair energy infrastructure damaged in the conflict. She will also engage with media and think tanks in the capital with the aim of building support for Ukraine in India.

The Ukrainian government has requested additional humanitarian aid such as medicines, medical equipment and energy equipment to help repair power infrastructure damaged in the war. The provision of such support is expected to be discussed during the inter-ministerial dialogue.

Emine Dzhaparova will “exchange views on the current situation in Ukraine” with a senior member of India’s foreign ministry, according to a statement from the Indian government.

Who is Emine Dzhaparova?

1. Emine Dzhaparova graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University in Kiev, where she studied International Relations with honors.

2. Before entering the public sector, Dzhaparova worked in journalism. She was deputy editor-in-chief of the Turkish newspaper ZAMAN and hosted for the Crimean TV channel ATR.

3. Japarova served as an advisor to the Minister of Information Policy of Crimea and as an attache in the Department of Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Department of Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She later became Ukraine’s first deputy minister of information policy.



4. She now oversees various areas, including policy planning, public diplomacy, and international organizations such as the European Union and NATO. She also plays a key role in coordinating the implementation of the Crimea Platform’s goals, objectives and development strategy.

5. Dzhaparova is also in charge of the Ukrainian Academy – an important public institution that promotes Ukrainian culture globally and helps to create a positive image of Ukraine abroad.
