[ad_1]

Experts at the 21st Airport Show in Dubai say the passenger experience is paramount and airports need to invest and accelerate investment in innovative technologies, while focusing on seamless journeys and sustainability.

“Airports need to continue to focus more on the passenger experience to ensure that the resulting products and services are more passenger-centric and more tailored to individual needs,” said Michael Schneider, executive vice president of Siemens Logistics Airports.

“Customer satisfaction is the goal; focusing on your own experience helps increase their satisfaction. Satisfied customers come back and create referrals — that’s what every business wants. Increasing the number of satisfied customers is definitely a competition missions, which can be leveraged through unique products or features in air travel.

“Passengers are in a way the starting point of the revenue stream and therefore a core source of thriving businesses. Most revenue streams can be traced back to passengers. It should become natural to take care of them,” he added.

Ketan Sethi, Director of Aviation at Naffco, said: “The Middle East emerged from the pandemic with adapting technology faster than any other region. Passenger experience is now more in demand than USP or competition.”

“For safety reasons, the pandemic has forced the airport industry to offer contactless journeys for passengers and airport staff. This has led to a huge business demand for self-service systems at airports, such as self-service bag drop, self-check-in, facial recognition, automated tray return Systems and trays at security checkpoints are sanitized,” he said.

ADB Safegate is one of the world’s leading providers of integrated solutions for safer, more efficient and greener aircraft takeoffs and landings, creating “a more streamlined and digital journey,” said Aziz Cakir, Vice President, Middle East and Africa, ADB Safegate It has always been a priority for airports and airlines alike.

The company has completed a new digital airport management platform to manage operations at King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia,” he said.

Yuli Grig, commercial director at UK-based Midstream Lighting, said the pandemic has made airport operators focus on seamless journeys, and now airports need to invest in the passenger experience and technology needs to be innovative and sustainable.
