[ad_1]

America is voting key midterm elections This happened in the middle of President Joe Biden’s four-year term. The vote so far is a referendum on Joe Biden’s term, but Joe Biden’s approval ratings are at record lows — a major concern for Democrats looking to retain control of the U.S. Congress.

Before the first midterm elections, Joe Biden had the lowest approval rating of any president at 40 percent. While nearly every president before him lost support within the first two years, his ratings were lower than those of his most recent predecessors, suggesting a sense of discontent among Americans.

One of the main contributors to the low approval ratings may be the US economy. The U.S. economy continues to grapple with the aftermath of the pandemic and soaring natural gas prices following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine — as has been the case in many countries.

Regarding approval ratings, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki cites the same reason.

“People all over the country are tired. It’s affecting the way they live and work. Worrying about their children, worrying about their ability to experience the joys of life, like concerts, going to restaurants and meeting friends,” she said.

According to CNN, Joe Biden has also seen a slide in support among younger voters, who are angry about inaction on climate change, health care and student debt.
