Usain Bolt tells Shakari Richardson to talk less and “strengthen training”

[ad_1]

The fastest man alive gave some suggestions to the American sprinter #ShaCarriRichardson.Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt told New York Post Sha’Carri should stop talking rubbish and pay more attention to her training.

Sha’Carri became an early fan favorite of many people and watched before the Olympic trials. Then she was banned from participating in the sport for a month after testing positive for marijuana, which cost her a place on the U.S. Olympic team for the Tokyo Olympics, although the Americans continued to support her and said the decision was unfair.

In view of the controversy, Shakari has also been criticized for his reaction to the ban. Usain Bolt explained that Sha’Carri’s “trash talk” will only make her Jamaican rivals more determined to beat her.

“I will tell Shakari to train harder, concentrate, don’t talk too much… If you speak big, you have to support it,” Usain said. “So just train hard and focus on it, then try to come back and do it and talk about it.”

When she finished last in the 100-meter sprint in August, Shakari faced a lot of ridicule during the highly anticipated return to the track. Prefontaine classic In Oregon.

Jamaican Elaine Thompson-Hera won the gold medal in the Olympic 100-meter sprint and once again won the first place.

Before the game started, Sha’Carri used a viral Nicki Minaj meme on TikTok, in which Nicki said: “I took a rest for a while, now it’s game time, b-tches. You don’t know!”

Usain said that he and his Jamaican athletes were not impressed by Shakari’s boasting, especially considering the historical rivalry between American and Jamaican sprinters.

“The Jamaican is very annoyed because she said a lot of nonsense before the actual game, this is just one of them,” Usain said. “Jamaicas don’t like people talking about us because we are a very proud nation. So if you talk about us, we will hope you support it. It definitely gives those women an extra boost [to win.]”

Usain added that he had experienced the same thing with American sprinter Justin Gatlin, who cast some shadow over him when he participated in the 2016 Brazil Olympics. Gatlin ranked second in the 100m final, second only to Bolt.

“This is what happened between me and Justin Gatlin-because he is the one who always talks-so this gives me that kind of energy, like,’Well, you think you will Win, let’s go!’ So it does give you extra motivation to beat that person,” Usain said.

Usain also mentioned that he watched Sha’Carri perform in Prefontaine Classic on his 35th birthday.

“I actually watched the game on my birthday… so all my friends were there. We stopped everything just to watch the game. I know Elaine [Thompson-Herah] Will win. ”

“I knew she would run fast, but I didn’t expect Sha’ Carri to be last,” he said.

Usain withdrew from the sport in 2017. He recently released a reggae album.
