USDA to bring the best of America to Dubai for Gulfood 2023

[ad_1]

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) brings the best the US agriculture sector has to offer to this year’s Gulf Foods Show, held at the Dubai World Trade Center from February 20-24.

USDA has been involved with Gulf Foods for over 25 years. This year’s US Pavilion totaled 1,592 square meters and featured 158 exhibitors, including more than 25 new entrants to the market. International buyers and importers will be able to find a wide variety of U.S. products spanning the worlds of food, meat, poultry, dairy, beans and grains in the U.S. Pavilion’s five spaces.

On February 20, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Administrator Daniel B Whitley and US Consul General Megan Gregonis will officially open the US Pavilion to visitors. While at Gulfood, Whitley and Gregonis will participate in cooking demonstrations promoting American ingredients and meet exhibitors and other key partners.

global interests

“Last year, U.S. exporters had more than $250 million in live and projected sales at Gulfood, demonstrating the enormous global interest in and demand for U.S. food and agricultural products,” said Whitley.

“I am delighted to be back at Gulfood with the opening of the US Pavilion, and I am confident that buyers attending the show will be impressed with the variety of high-quality US food, beverage and agricultural products offered by this year’s exhibitors.”

USDA staff from FAS’ 18 international offices will be at the US Pavilion to answer questions and coordinate business-to-business sessions. The team recruited 90 potential food and beverage buyers from countries in Africa, South Asia and the Middle East to attend shows, meet with US exporters and help drive sales, all underscoring the importance of Gulfood as a global business platform.

cooking demonstration

Other notable events at the U.S. Pavilion next week include cooking demonstrations and competitions organized by the International Center for the Culinary Arts, with representatives from the U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council, the U.S. Meat Export Federation, the U.S. Dairy Export Council and other U.S.- National agricultural product export promotion organization.

Gulfood will also launch the FAS Agricultural Affairs Regional Office’s Fork in the Road campaign, which will promote American food and produce in the MENA region through storytelling and raise awareness of the high quality and diversity of American produce. — trade arab news agency
