type The programming for the second annual Casino Miami Luncheon, which will take place in Miami on Thursday, April 13th, was announced Thursday.The event, in partnership with CN Bank, celebrates the growing entertainment and media industry based in Miami and honors those who Variety Miami Entertainment Impact Report.
At the gala, Ronald Day, President, Entertainment and Content Strategy, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, and Karen Barroeta, Executive Vice President, Production and Development, Telemundo Global Studios, will keynote with Rodrigo Nieto-Galvis, Team Leader, Entertainment Banking CN Bank Miami. The conversation will revolve around Telemundo’s strategy and Miami-based music and original programming.
Raúl Alarcón, CEO and Chairman of the Spanish Broadcasting System, will receive the Legend and Founder Award for his role in promoting Latin music radio nationwide. A Miami legend, Alarcon has been at the forefront of promoting Latin artists through radio play and has been a key advocate for many Latin music superstars.
This year, type A new award will be added to the show with super music producer Timbaland. He will receive the Pioneer Award for creating Beat Club in Miami and collaborating with top artists on music.
Loud and Live CEO Nelson Albareda will participate in a spotlight conversation with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to discuss the city’s expansion into the entertainment industry. Loud and Live is the official sponsor of the event.
Variety Dea Lawrence, COO, and Jahan Wang, Head of Entertainment Banking at City National Bank, will deliver opening remarks along with Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber.
