Based on a true story, this film centers on Roger Sharpe (Faist), GQ Journalist and real-life pinball wizard who helped overturn New York City’s 35-year pinball ban in 1976.
Sharp is a restless writer with a handsome beard who finds comfort and confidence in the one thing he has mastered: pinball. When a police raid destroys the only machine he can find in New York City in the ’70s, he learns that the game is illegal in the state. Roger reluctantly joins forces with the Music and Entertainment Association to overturn Prohibition, while falling in love with artist and single mother Alan (Reed). Roger’s path to saving Pinball has taught him the meaning of taking risks — and that commitment is the most rewarding of all gambles.
Written and directed by Austin and Meredith Bragg—they’ve walked together prague brothers — pinball And star Dennis Boutscalis (better call saul), Christopher Confrey (prisoner’s daughter), Damian Young (Ozark) and Mike Doyle (new amsterdam). The award-winning film, which premiered at this year’s Hamptons Film Festival, stars Sharp Crockett Moore, Tony Glazer, Stacy Parks, Lana Link and Rob Pfatezgera Produced by Jeffrey Sharp and Nick Reed as executive producers.
