exclusive: vertical Acquired North American rights to Keoni Waxman romantic comedy modelerWritten and starring Byron Mann (big short), scheduled to be released on July 14.
In the high-octane, ultra-rich fast lane of Hong Kong, modeler Follow Shawn Koo (Mann), the son of a Chinese tycoon family, and his nightclub partner Narin “Bucky” Sakpiporn (K-pop star Nichkhun) as they enjoy the lavish parties, privileges, and lifestyle of an international model girlfriend. After a string of short-term relationships, Sean rings the alarm and realizes that all the money in the world won’t be enough to buy a woman’s love. When he starts falling for the charming but provocative Camila (Rayssa Bratillieri), a Brazilian model not used to his lifestyle, Sean must change his tactics and clean up his act if he wants to win her heart.

Dominika Kachlik, Han Helzik, Cyrind Shoemaker, Julia Nickerson and the late Ken-Wai Tsang also star, modeler Produced by Waxman, Mann and Jacob Silver, executive producers include Dene Anderberg, Aaron Shershow and Andrew Ooi. Damon Criswell (I, Tonya), Brian Jackson Harris and Michael Wickstrom wrote the score, featuring songs written and sung by Hong Kong rapper Dough-Boy and Tokyo-based Japanese-American singer Emi Meyer.

The movie is a miracle. I can’t wait for the world to see it.”

Piantedosi negotiated the deal on behalf of Vertical with Giulia Prenna of Mind the Gap Productions and Sales and James Pacitti of Pacitti Law Firm representing the producers.
