Vice President Amin lands in Abu Dhabi

Jakarta (Antara) – Indonesian Vice President Malouf Amin arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday night, where he will also travel to Egypt as part of an eight-day visit.

Amin and his wife Wury Ma’ruf Amin arrived at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 3.22pm local time, eight hours after taking off from Jakarta.

Upon arrival at the airport, they were greeted by Suhail Mohamed Far Almazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Husin Bagis, Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE; and Brigadier General Putut Vijaksono, Indonesian Defense Attaché in Riyadh.

The UAE government honor guard also greeted the Indonesian Vice President upon his arrival.

During his visit to Abu Dhabi, Amin is scheduled to meet UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at the Al-Shati Palace on Wednesday to discuss some strategic issues between the two countries.

He will also meet the Chairman and Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum (ADFP) at the Emirates Palace Hotel and speak at the 9th ADFP Conference.

The Vice President and his party will depart for Dubai on Wednesday evening for a series of activities.

On Thursday, Amin is scheduled to hold talks at the Raffles Hotel at the same hotel with representatives of Dubai Holdings and publishers Global Islamic Index Agency.

On Friday, the fourth day of his visit, he will visit a branch of Bank Indonesia Islamic (BSI) in Dubai. He will then travel to Cairo, Egypt, on Friday night.

In Cairo, he will meet the Indonesian student and diaspora community at the Indonesian embassy on Saturday. He will also witness the National Almsgiving Committee (Baznas) providing scholarships to 300 Indonesian students currently studying in Egypt.

On Sunday, he will visit Egypt’s National Museum of Civilization before departing from Sharm el-Sheikh for a series of meetings held during the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27).

On Monday, the seventh day of his visit, he will attend the opening ceremony of COP27 at the Sharm el-Sheikh International Conference Center, where he will deliver a national statement on the high-level segment.

On Tuesday, he will take part in the second day of the high-level meeting. Before returning to Jakarta, he will visit the Indonesian Pavilion at the Sharm El Sheikh International Convention Center.
