On Friday, January 20, Vice India shared a photo of a “vegan” restaurant and attempted to shame Indians on their caste system. In the photo’s caption, Vice wrote, “Do restaurants need to promote #pureveg And, by doing so, do they insist on #casteist philosophy and practice? “
Do restaurants need publicity? #pureveg And, by doing so, do they insist on #casteist Ideas and practices? Or is it likely that the word “pure” is just a substitute for the word “unique”? what do you think? Let us know in the comments. pic.twitter.com/qJJTWExNVi

For “monkey balance” and to make sure they don’t become a target for insulting Hindu beliefs or even vegetarians, Vice added – “or is the word ‘pure’ most likely just a substitute for the word ‘only’? What do you think What is it? Let us know in the comments”.
This is a tweet obviously trying to call vegans casteists, equating veganism with caste system, attacking Hinduism, which is common online, but more importantly, this restaurant is in an Islamic country!
OpIndia did a reverse image search of this restaurant and found that it is actually located in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), an Islamic country.
If you are in Abu Dhabi, you can order food from this restaurant here On Zomato, if you want to visit the place for yourself, you can go to here.
Vice is now less likely to attack the UAE for promoting the caste system, but it can always use UAE restaurants to denounce Indians for promoting the caste system.
