Taking advantage of the rain during the long Eid al-Adha holiday, many residents took to the road hoping for showers.

In general, the rain this week is good for the UAE. It rained throughout the week in different parts of the country, leaving picturesque river valleys (valleys) and rocky and desert terrains lined with trees.

On Wednesday, July 21, the National Meteorological Center (NCM) issued a yellow code notice (“Beware when venturing outdoors”) until 6pm when it detected convective clouds in parts of the country:

Earlier in the day, rain hit the country. Before the clock struck 12 noon, there was moderate to light rain in these areas: Abu Dhabi Airport, Yas Island, Mohammed Bin Zayed City and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Road; Al Al Faida in Al Ain; Sharjah International Airport and Umm Al Qawan-Ajman Road.

NCM also posted a video on Twitter showing a strong thunderstorm occurred over Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain:

More rain tomorrow

NCM predicts that there will be more rain tomorrow. It predicts partly cloudy weather and a hazy day.

There is an “opportunity for the formation of convective clouds in the eastern and southern regions that may be related to rainfall.”

The temperature will gradually rise, and the wind is expected to raise dust.

Green trail

The rain earlier this week was so violent that it formed a current Gushing over the green trees.

The following video was filmed in Daghdaga, Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday, July 18:

Due to the country’s efforts to increase rainfall, showers will occur during the peak summer period in the UAE.

NCM earlier explained to Khaleej Times that cloud seeding would trigger rain across the country.

Meteorological forecasters said that cloud seeding also enhanced the carrying capacity of eastward convective clouds.

Dr. Ahmed Habib from NCM said that in the summer, the country experiences monsoon lows from India, which usually raises the temperature, especially in the eastern part of the country, where more and more convective clouds are formed, which triggers rainfall.
