Viking Completion Technology (Viking), a leading supplier of topside completion equipment to the oil and gas industry, has announced multiple contract wins valued at more than $7 million.
The projects will allow Viking to offer a complete portfolio of completion fabrication and design services to key operators in the Middle East and North Africa, further building on its strong regional presence, the Dubai-based company said in a statement.
The announcement follows a successful year for Viking, which recently celebrated the completion of 70 global projects, including the design of its core, UAE-made API 11D1 packers, API 19AC devices and API 14A safety valves, Engineering and qualification tests.
“As we enter our 26th year, we look forward to continuing to provide our leading completion services to the global oil and gas industry. With new technology well testing underway in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, there is potential for additional contracts to be awarded in the near future. The outlook for the Vikings is very positive,” said its managing director Willie Morrison.
“These latest contract wins include Viking’s complete portfolio of completion packers, sliding side doors, landing subs and related completion accessories, as well as highly regarded completion design and installation services,” he said.
Contracts won include local operations in the UAE as well as equipment export and service provision in Iraq and Oman as the scope of the expansion expands.
Morrison said winning these contracts was a testament to Viking’s highly regarded preparation and installation services and strong in-house testing and validation capabilities.
Director of Sales and Operations Paul Higginson, who will join Viking in January 2022, says this is an exciting period of growth for Viking.
“Since 2008, we have been supplying a wide range of equipment to companies around the world, including long-term contracts and master service agreements. These latest contract wins demonstrate Viking’s continued growth and future success,” he added.trade arab news agency
