country roadshow entertainment There has been a wave of additions and promotions Nick Gordon Promoted to Vice President of Feature Films at Village Roadshow Pictures (VRP), Anne MacKay has been named VRP’s Creative Director. Elizabeth Elliott joins VREG as Executive Vice President, Commercial Affairs. Gordon and MacKay will report to Jillian Apfelbaum and Tristen Tuckfield, executive vice presidents of feature films at VRP. Elliot will report to Louis Santor, VREG Chief Operating Officer.

Gordon joined the company in 2019 and previously supported VRP’s feature boards as Director of Development.He most recently oversaw the production Heather: The Musical and played an important role in packaging and developing such VRP projects, such as night of the living dead, sold in competition to MGM in December 2022; a remake of the hit Russian horror film SPUTNIK, produced by Matt Reeves; and written by star comedian Taylor Tomlinson and written by Paul Untitled comedy directed by Weitz. He also runs Village Roadshow’s BloodList program, overseeing their genre characterization from emerging sounds.Before joining VRP, Gordon was Head of Development at Imperative Entertainment, working on film and television projects, including the Palme d’Or winning film square and sad triangleMartin Scorsese Killer of the Flower Moonand Mindy Kaling and Nisha Ganatra’s late at night.
MacKay has been with VRP since January 2022.She joins the company from Yale Productions, where she managed the production and finances of a range of productions, including alone togetherwritten and directed by Katie Holmes, with John Malkovich leading the title rogue hostage and survivalist and they made uswritten and directed by Emmy nominee Mayim Barik, starring Dustin Hoffman and Simon Helberg.
Elliott joins VREG after three years at Netflix, where she served as counsel, commercial and legal affairs, overseeing development, production and financing deals for the company’s high-budget film group, working on projects such as don’t look up, luther and enola holmes 2. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Commercial and Legal Affairs at Lionsgate, negotiating and drafting acquisition and co-financing agreements for the Film, Home Entertainment and Acquisitions division, working on films with domestic and international partners, including Knife out, long shot and heavy bomb.
Gordon, MacKay and Elliot will support VRP’s upcoming slate of titles, including titles such as Cinnamonstarring Pam Grier and Damon Wayans, and murder city Starring Mike Colter – The two films emerged from the company’s Black Noir Cinema initiative, in partnership with NBA legend Kevin Garnett’s Content Cartel, to produce scripted and unscripted projects that convey the message of empowerment for black audiences The spirit of power.
