Warbirds Over Monroe Return to Airport | Entertainment

MONROE – The 2022 Monroe Warbird Airshow will be held at Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport on Airport Road from November 12-13.

It will feature dozens of WWII-era and later aircraft, some of which guests will be able to touch.

This weekend, centered on Veterans Day, honors the many men and women who serve this country in the Armed Forces. The two-day event brought thousands to Monroe and Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airports. Audiences can get up close to vintage aircraft and talk to pilots before watching the stunning aerobatics and fireworks display.

Guests should arrive early when doors open at 9am. In-flight entertainment begins around noon. The Veterans Recognition Program takes place on Saturday.

UH-1 Huey and AH-1 Cobra will provide helicopter rides.

The air show will also have more than 30 vendors on-site offering food and beverage options, as well as military memorabilia, nonprofits and other vendors.

The show continues, rain or shine, and parking is free. Disabled parking spaces near the airport are limited; once the lot is full, it will be a drop-off and pick-up point. Buses will be provided to shuttle customers.

Coolers, smoking and pets are not allowed, with the exception of service dogs. Guests should bring folding chairs or blankets for seating. Camera use is allowed.

Tickets at the gate are $20 for adults, $15 for 12-18 year olds, and $5 for active duty and veterans. Children under 12 are free.buy tickets at www.eventsprout.com.
