Thirty drivers in Al Ain recently received surprise gifts from Abu Dhabi Police for obeying all traffic rules. In three years, they haven’t received a single traffic fine — not even a parking ticket.
Abu Dhabi Police Happiness Patrols patrolled the roads and spotted the driver they found with a clean traffic record. Earlier this month, the patrol carried out a similar mission.
In the footage, officers can be seen speaking to drivers and surprising them with a TV:
Col Matar Abdullah Al Muhairi, Director of Al Ain Transport, said the Ya Hafez initiative is part of the authority’s efforts to motivate good drivers and promote positive behaviors that help make roads safer.
Colonel Al Muhairi congratulated them for maintaining their record-free record for three years.
The drivers who received the gifts were all pleasantly surprised and expressed their pride. They emphasized the importance of obeying traffic laws and doing their part to ensure public safety and prevent tragic accidents.
Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al-Kalbani, head of Al Ain Traffic Investigation Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Obaid Al Kabi, head of Al Ain Regional Security Media Department, are both involved in the initiative.
