Opened by 6thstreet.com at Dubai Hills Mall, the store brings together the best of physical and virtual shopping experiences, with over 10,000 items and a response time of just 3 minutes.
“We’re adding a digital element to our physical space,” said Dharmin Ved, CEO of 6thstreet. Customers create a ‘wow’ experience. So we wanted to combine the two to create a unique shopping experience. “
Eager to try out the store experience, KT’s Abdul Karim purchased products using the touchscreen. Despite a 3-minute response time, Karim got his product within seconds of placing the order.
The physical store at 6thstreet in Dubai Hills Mall looks very intriguing with no products on display at all. Dotted with at least 20 touchscreens in the brand’s signature orange, shoppers can sit on couches and browse thousands of items, including fashion, footwear, handbags, accessories and fragrances.
After adding items to the shopping cart, users can try on their clothes in an automated fitting room within three minutes.
Phygital: the way forward
Brick and mortar stores can display 2.5 times more products than regular stores. It also requires fewer assistants to manage the store since nearly everything is automated.
“There are so many benefits to physical stores, it’s clear that physical stores are here to stay,” Ved said.
