Enoc Group announced today that its ‘Service Station of the Future’ is now open to the public at Dubai Expo City as part of the Expo’s enduring sustainable legacy.

Dubai Expo City is now ready to house 145,000 residents and workers, becoming the UAE’s first 15-minute drive city (a bike-friendly, well-connected suburb of Dubai’s growing metropolis), with amenities close to 85 start-ups and small businesses will take over the commercial space later this year.

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of Enoc Group, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening to the public of the innovatively designed ‘Service Station of the Future’ as part of the Expo’s enduring sustainable legacy. Inspired by the rich heritage of the UAE’s national tree, the Ghaf, in addition to 37 tonnes of carbon fiber used to construct the 133-seat multi-level canopy frame, fitted with a transparent, innovative leaf-shaped ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) cushioning canopy and illuminated by more than 3,800 LEDs Light module power supply.

The 5,841.87-square-meter plant will generate 143MWh of solar energy from renewable sources through the installation of 283 solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, in addition to a 25m wind turbine that will generate 12.7MWh of electricity per year across the 4.38km2 Expo site. wind energy.

Since its unveiling, the Service Station of the Future has been recognized by several global and local agencies for its innovative design and sustainability features. In addition to achieving LEED Platinum certification – an internationally recognized building certification system from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its strong emphasis on renewable energy, water conservation, energy conservation and CO2 reduction – the service station has also received It has won several awards, including the Architectural Master Award 2021, the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the Creative Awards of the Year, the Sustainable Project of the Year Award and the Innovative Design Award at the Middle East Design Awards.

Recently, Future Service Station won the competition “Best Energy Management System for Industrial Facilities” at the Arab Energy Efficiency Days held in Cairo, Egypt.
