Former US President Donald Trump called CNN host Caitlin Collins a “nasty person” at the end of a town hall after she asked him questions about Jan. 6 and his legal problems. In his first interview with CNN since 2016, Donald Trump refused to concede that he lost the 2020 election and stood by his repeated false claims of a stolen election.

When Kaitlin Collins asked him why he didn’t comply with a Justice Department subpoena ordering him to bring classified records to Mar-a-Lago, he said: “The answer is simple. You’re a nuisance, I tell you. “
The audience cheered and laughed when Donald Trump added that he was “negotiating” with the National Archives and Records Administration to turn over the remaining documents.

He said he had “every right” to take the documents and “didn’t keep it secret,” while repeating his claim that the records were “declassified” when he deleted them.
During the interview, Donald Trump clashed with the host several times. The “nasty person” line that he used was closely reminiscent of an insult he threw at Hillary Clinton during a 2016 debate when he called her a “such a nasty woman” while she expressed plans to raise taxes on the wealthy if elected.
The interview comes after a federal jury in New York found Donald Trump responsible for sexually assaulting author E. Jean Carroll and then defaming her.
