Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, inaugurated Yas Island SeaWorld Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The newest theme park on Yas Island is being developed by Miral in partnership with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
Sheikh Khaled toured the attraction and was briefed on its 183,000 square meter facility, which provides marine life-themed entertainment and education to visitors, further cementing Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a tourism hub status. He also visited the Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue Centre, the MENA region’s first integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return and education centre. Sheikh Khalid reviewed the Center’s projects, which work to protect marine wildlife, habitats and ecosystems in the Arabian Gulf, while educating and inspiring a new generation of ocean lovers.

He was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and Chairman of Miral; and Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of Miral Group.
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi offers entertainment, education and family-friendly experiences, including up-close animal encounters and animal displays, as well as rides and attractions, as well as dining and shopping destinations.

Sea World Abu Dhabi recently announced that it has been certified by Global Humane, an international brand of American Humane and the world’s largest animal welfare certification organization. This is the first facility in the MENA region to receive this certification. Sea World Abu Dhabi will open to the public on May 23.
