The Pakistani Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Pakistani diaspora community hosted a Chand Raat the night before Eid al-Fitr.

New Moon Night, or Chand Raat, is one of the most exciting nights celebrated in Pakistan, marking the end of Ramadan and heralding Eid al-Fitr.

Pakistani Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi officiated the celebrations in Abu Dhabi on Thursday night. He welcomed community members of the Pakistani embassy on a festive occasion and entertained the guests with Pakistani food, music, handicrafts and traditional folk dancing.

“We should be united in celebrating the joy of Eid and we should also help all Pakistanis who are facing difficulties,” Thirmiz said.
