Residents of the UAE were greeted with heavy to moderate rain on Saturday as high winds prevailed across the country.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reported showers in various parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In some cases, the rain was accompanied by thunder and lightning.

NCM has published several videos on weather conditions across the UAE.

Temperatures are expected to drop after the rain.

Abu Dhabi Police earlier urged motorists to be careful while driving in the rain. Police are asking drivers to slow down and leave enough space between their vehicle and the vehicle in front of them.
