The Zakat, tax and customs authorities at the Haditha port discovered that the pills were hidden in cargo received through the port.
The authorities revealed that a batch of ketchup cartons were received through Al-Haditha port. According to the Saudi Press Agency, after inspection, it was found that these pills were hidden in the lid of the ketchup jar.
The authorities stated that smugglers used the opportunity of public holidays to try to smuggle contraband.

Last year, the authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 4.5 million Captagon pills, which were found hidden in a batch of oranges received through the Islamic port of Jeddah.
