This year’s Gitex Global attracted more than 138,000 visitors and some 5,000 exhibitors – the largest in the show’s history
On Friday, the Crown Prince of Dubai visited Gitex Global, the final day of the world’s largest tech event.
Sharing a series of photos on Twitter, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “Bright minds gather in Dubai, where the journey of the future begins.”
This year’s Gitex Global saw around 5,000 exhibitors, including 1,400 new companies – making it the largest in the show’s history.
It showcased some of the coolest technology in the world, taking more than 138,000 visitors into the future. flying car to humanoid robot and A glove that lets you ‘feel’ things in the digital world. “Under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the emirate has transformed into a global platform where ideas and innovations compete for the benefit of the world. Create a better future,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
He added that Dubai has turned into a mega-lab where the best minds come together to tackle global challenges.
With Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, visited several pavilions, including the G42, a leader in artificial intelligence Presentation, cloud computing technology and smart city.
Leaders also got a glimpse of the flying car of Chinese company Xpeng, which made headlines earlier this week when its X2 car made the first global public flight.
In a video shared on Twitter by the Emirate’s General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Sheikh Hamdan can also be seen exploring the latest technology for visa services.
During its participation in Gitex, GDRFA announced that it will soon All of its services are provided through facial recognition.
This means that residents can apply for visas and entry permits without presenting their passports or any other identification documents. They can easily complete the process without leaving home.
Sheikh Maktoum also visited Gitex Global’s Sharjah Government Pavilion, where 10 government entities showcased 15 projects and initiatives.
