A joint international operation seized 55 tons of drugs worth $750 million.
Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, released a video of the two-month operation led by the International Security Alliance.
The operation was carried out in cooperation with the American Police Community (Ameripol) and targeted transnational illicit drug trafficking networks. According to information shared in the video, it involves “monitoring the air, land and sea routes used by such networks.”
The video showed that multiple shipments containing drugs were seized and the suspects were arrested. Police can be seen recovering drugs from various items, including watermelons.
The operation developed new methods of monitoring illicit drug flows.
