Landmarks across the UAE are lit up in the colors of the Philippine flag to mark Philippine Independence Day.

The world’s tallest building celebrated the occasion on Instagram.

“The Burj Khalifa is lit to honor the spirit, resilience and rich legacy of the Filipino people on Independence Day. May this special day be filled with unity and joy as you celebrate your nation’s achievements and progress,” the post said.

In Abu Dhabi, the ADNOC building was lit up in the colors of the Philippine flag to celebrate the country’s Independence Day.

About 10,000 Filipinos took part in a day-long celebration at the Dubai World Trade Center on Saturday that showcased not only traditions but also the storied past and collective history of the resilient Filipino diaspora through various cultural displays,” They are building the structure of the UAE.”

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA), made this point in a speech to the Filipino diaspora community.
