President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Sheikh Mohammed discuss regional stability and progress

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Cairo on Wednesday, beginning an official visit to Egypt.
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, Sheikh Mohammed and his accompanying delegation were received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as well as a number of ministers and senior officials. The leaders of the two countries exchanged greetings on the occasion of Ramadan.
“It was my pleasure to meet with my brother President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo today. We explored opportunities to further strengthen the deep-rooted relationship between the UAE and Egypt, and discussed our role in promoting stability and progress in the region common good,” tweeted Sheikh Mohammed.
The delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed included Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in the Presidency; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Yaed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Adviser to the President of the UAE; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Matters Adviser to the Presidential Court Department; Ali bin Hamad Al Shah, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council Musi; and Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
The reception was also attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Kamal Madbouly; Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry; Mohamed Shaker, Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mohamed Shaker El Markabi; Egyptian Ministry of Planning and Economic Development Minister Dr. Hala Saeed; General Intelligence Director Major General Abbas Kamel; and Counselor Ahmed Fahmi, Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency.
Sheikh Mohamed and the accompanying delegation then traveled to the Al Ittihadiya Presidential Palace, where a formal reception ceremony was held, including a guard of honor and the performance of the national anthems of both countries.
