Upon his arrival in the Abu Muleha area, where the agreement to unify the armed forces was signed 47 years ago, Sheikh Mohammed was welcomed by Defense Minister Mohammad bin Ahmed al-Bawadi; Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Issa Saif bin Lieutenant-General Ablan Al Mazrouei Engineer; and several other senior commanders.
Sheikh Mohamed spoke to military leaders and veterans present and congratulated some military and civilian personnel who received Armed Forces Medals for their efforts in various operations.
Senior leaders of the armed forces also presented the President with a commemorative model of the regional headquarters of Abu Muraiha, symbolizing the importance of the site to the unity of the armed forces.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed his appreciation to current and former members of the Armed Forces, acknowledging their patriotic role and dedication to safeguarding the country’s stability and promoting the country’s continuous progress.
Also present at the ceremony were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Special Advisor to the Presidential Court Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Renahyan, as well as a number of senior officials and commanders representing various parts of the Sudanese government. armed forces.
