Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra region, attended a mass wedding in Al Dhafra on Saturday involving 188 couples from the UAE Couples participate.
The mass wedding coincided with the country celebrating its 51st Union Day.
The mass wedding, held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan and supported by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), was also attended by Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamadn bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Nahyan bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; and other chiefs.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Abdullah Muhair Al Ketbi, Minister of Federal Supreme Council Affairs, were also present at the meeting.
The celebration ends with a section titled UAE land, and other activities. The bride and groom then shook hands with Sheikh Hamdan, who congratulated them and wished them a happy wedding.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for these initiatives to benefit citizens.
He said group weddings in the UAE play an important role in promoting the values ​​of cooperation and harmony among young people, helping to preserve Arab traditions while also helping them start family life at less cost.
The couple expressed their delight at Sheikh Hamdan’s patronage and presence at the event, as well as the leadership’s keenness to support and help with the collective wedding.
