The President of the United States said that the American soldiers killed in the attack are carrying out a selfless mission to save lives
President Joe Biden trembled with excitement. On Thursday, he vowed that the United States would hunt down the attacker in the double bombing at Kabul Airport and said he had asked the Pentagon to develop a plan to counter the militants.
“We will not forgive, we will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay,” he said in a speech at the White House.
He said that the American soldiers killed in the attack outside the Kabul airport were “heroes.” “They engage in dangerous, selfless tasks to save the lives of others.”
In Thursday’s attack, at least a dozen American soldiers and dozens of Afghans were killed.
He said that despite the deadly suicide attack, the United States will not prevent its mission to evacuate thousands of civilians from Afghanistan.
“We will not be intimidated by terrorists. We will not let them stop our mission. We will continue to evacuate,” Biden added.
He said there was no sign of “collusion” between the Taliban and the Daesh group that claimed to have launched the attack. In answering a question, Biden added: “He thinks it is wrong to rely on the Taliban to help evacuate safety.”
The President of the United States added that his country will continue to allow Afghans helping the United States to leave Afghanistan after August 31.
