Quincy — Whether you’re looking for a place to bring your family to a show or just wondering when you can hear the festivities, here’s a list of several fireworks displays in and around Quincy.
• July 2 – July 4 The inaugural suburban family fun carnival at the Outskirts bar and event venue in Loraine will wrap up the night with a fireworks display at dusk.
• July 3 – QU Stadium after the Quincy Gems game.
• July 3 – Quincy Country Club.
• July 4th – “Lover’s Leap” fireworks display at 9:30 pm in Hannibal, Missouri.
• July 4th – Freedom Fest at Clat Adams Park will be held on Sunday and Monday, with a fireworks display as the finale on Monday evening (9:30pm).
• July 4th—The City of Lagrange will host a July 4th Thanksgiving Day. After dark, the event will feature a fireworks display.
• July 4th – Carthage, Illinois will have a full day of events starting at 10 am with a parade and fireworks display near Western Illinois High School at dusk.
• July 4th – The Sheridan Swimming Club in Quincy will host a full day of activities for members including sweepstakes, food and music, all culminating in a fireworks display.in the darkness
•July 4th – Camp Point will have fireworks at dusk in Bailey Park following the evening parade starting at 6pm
The Quincy Police Department reminds the public that most types of fireworks are illegal in Illinois, and state law and city ordinance prohibit the emission and possession of fireworks. The Hannibal Police Department also reminded residents that the sale, use or discharge of fireworks is prohibited within the city limits, with fines of up to $130.
