'We're spoiled' - Ben Stokes praises Abu Dhabi facilities

The UK has chosen Abu Dhabi as the location for its upcoming series of tests in Pakistan. After 17 long years, the Three Lions will travel to Pakistan for a series of tests.

Stokes was part of England’s T20 World Cup-winning squad in Australia. Now his focus is back on the longest form of the game.

“We were very lucky to be in Abu Dhabi and use the facilities here before heading to Pakistan. We were spoiled,” he said.

He continues. “This [Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub] The facilities here are one of the highest quality that I can remember since leaving here [in the UAE]. We have amazing networking facilities in the back and all the squares and it’s been great to be able to have practice games between the Test team and the Lions so hopefully we’ll be back here in the future as well. “

England have lost just one Test since Stokes took over as captain. Even in Pakistan, he is looking to extend his winning streak. He is very excited about the upcoming tour.

“The summer has been going really well for us in the conditions I know and we all know as a team, so it’s exciting to leave somewhere in the subcontinent where conditions are completely different, and any team tour feels very Difficult. It’s going to be nothing like the summer,” added Ben Stokes.

Stokes praised the facilities available for preparation work, “We had everything available. There were different types of surfaces in the back net because we weren’t quite sure what we were going to get in terms of wickets in Pakistan. We were lucky to have some wickets that could do something, some wickets that could A little bit of dryness to help the lads prepare for the challenges the spinners will bring, so that’s really good.”
