Ah yes, the Forbes “30 Under 30″ list. It’s a list that many aspire to be on, and it’s pretty impressive, TBH. But if you’re not familiar, you might be scratching your head:”What is 30 Under 30?”
We’ll get into the specifics of that list in detail, but that’s not all. For many of us, we assume that the list is aggregated – no, planned– Use some type of committee or group, scout social media, sneak around mystery shoppers or undercover boss. As long as you are in the role and you are under 30 years old, you have a chance to be recognized!

What is under 30?
Forbes A list of 600 people Individuals under the age of 30 with influential careers and/or accomplishments in multiple industries (healthcare, science, consumer technology, Hollywood, retail, social media, sports, finance, etc.) each categorized into lists for each year .
The 30 Under 30 alumni include Bumble founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd, Spotify founder and CEO Daniel Ek, singer Miley Cyrus and many other names you may or may not be familiar with.
Launched in 2011, this annual list is already well known because it covers many different types of environments and industries (some other categories they list include social impact, manufacturing and industry, and educate), it seems like maybe, just maybe, anyone can get that kind of recognition.
Perhaps, if someone works hard enough, no matter where in the world they live and work, their efforts will be noticed by a secretive board that is always on the lookout for emerging talent.
As it turns out, however, there’s more to these lists than some of us naively think.

Nomination shortlists will be shared with a panel of four judges in each category, who will The final 30 candidates will be selected.”

While it does make sense, I guess, I wasn’t ready to accept this information when I first learned about it through social media. It all started as I was scrolling through Twitter when a viral tweet caught my eye:“Just found out that 30 under 30 is something you applied for, I think everything is a lie”
ah? ! Obviously, I had to click because this was news to me. As stupid as I feel about this new realization, at least I know I’m not alone. After all, the flood of responses was filled with many of the same surprised responses.
