He had to withdraw from Indian cricket completely for NOC to be part of foreign leagues. MS Dhoni remains under the BCCI umbrella as he is IPL Franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK). On the day Dhoni quits CSK, he can play in Abu Dhabi T10 League, Big Bash League, The Hundred and any other tournaments. But he is not allowed to play in any foreign league until he becomes an active IPL player.

Raina, who retired with Dhoni, waited 2 years to retire from Indian cricket. The veteran player was featured in the IPL 2022 mega auction and acted as a commentator during the match. More than 3 months after the conclusion of IPL 2022, Raina has retired from Indian cricket and decided to play in other leagues. He competed in the Road Safety World Series and is now playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
