dallas — Wizz Air Abu Dhabi (5W) has received clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan to fly from Abu Dhabi (AUH) to Islamabad (ISB).
At the time of writing, there are no 5W flights operating between AUH and ISB, but we will update this article when the route starts.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will become the fifth Emirates airline to fly to Pakistan, joining Emirates (EK), flydubai (FZ), Air Arabia (G9) and Etihad Airways (EY ) to Karachi (KHI), Lahore (LHE), ISB, Faisalabad (LYP), Multan (MUX) and Sialkot (SKT).
EU-Pakistan Linkage
5W The opening of flights to ISB will allow connections to the destination network serving Wizz Air Europe (W6).
The airline’s European arm flies to AUH from many different cities and capitals in Europe, meaning it will be a low-cost option for those looking to visit Pakistan.
In addition, about 1.6 million Pakistani residents work in the UAE and millions of Pakistani tourists visit the country every year. Since the W5 fares budget-friendly, it will give rivals a good competitive advantage.
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi already operates flights to 11 different EU and non-EU cities including Alexandria (HBE), Athens (ATH) and Yerevan (EVN).
