Mansour Al-Kheziem, General Manager of Kuwait’s National Air Service (NAS), yesterday announced the launch of the UAE’s ultra-low-cost national airline, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, in Kuwait. The inaugural flight last night from Kuwait International Airport to Abu Dhabi International Airport. The inauguration was attended by Mansour Al Hashemi, Director of Operations at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Adrian Cramer, Director of Operations at Wizz Air, Mubarak Al-Refai, Director of Passenger Services at National Aviation Services, and other managers of NAS operations.
Al Kheziem stressed that travelers can purchase Wizz Air tickets from any travel and tourism office in Kuwait from the airline’s website www.wizzair. com or mobile app. Kuwait is Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s fifth major destination in the Gulf. The new route will enhance connectivity within the GCC by offering passengers another ultra-low-cost travel option between the two Gulf countries. This is in line with the national airline’s ambition to provide hassle-free, affordable travel for tourists and residents in the UAE and throughout the region. Tickets are now on sale on wizzair.com and the airline’s mobile app from just AED 99.
