Wizz Air Abu Dhabi records record for 6,000 flights in 2022

The UAE’s ultra-low-fare national carrier, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, reports a record high of operating more than 6,000 flights carrying more than 1.2 million passengers by 2022.

The joint venture between ADQ and Wizz Air Holdings is also doubling the size of its fleet and organization during 2022, growing 100% from four new state-of-the-art A321-neo aircraft to eight.

The average fleet age is one year, ensuring the airline lives up to its commitment to sustainability with the lowest environmental footprint in the region.

In 2022, the national carrier will carry more than 600,000 point-to-point passengers to the UAE, supporting the sustainable development of Abu Dhabi’s culture and tourism industry and offering diverse travel opportunities for all types of travelers.

The airline supports the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi’s (DCT) vision to welcome the world to Abu Dhabi, connect cultures and inspire generations on a journey of creativity and discovery. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi looks forward to future growth in line with the UAE Tourism Strategy 2031, further cementing the UAE’s position as one of the world’s top tourist destinations.

In line with the country’s socio-economic vision, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has launched a new travel business in the UAE, with recent exciting expansions in Central Asia, the Maldives and across the Gulf, allowing easy travel across the wider Wizz region , self-guided travel through the airline network of the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
