Hyderabad: The mother of a 2-year-old Hyderabad woman who fell from the fifth floor of a building in Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday, has urged the Telangana state government to investigate the matter and help with repatriation remains.
Afsha Begum, a resident of Aman Nagar, Talabkatta, has worked as a maid in the UAE for the past 2 years.
On Saturday, October 2022, MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan shared on Twitter that Afsha’s mother Ayesha Maryam called on Telangana IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) to inquire about the suspicious death of her daughter.
Amjed Ullah Khan posted on his official Twitter account, “Afsha Begum from Hyderabad, working as a maid in Ajman, UAE, jumped to her death from the 5th floor of a building, her mother called on @KTRTRS to investigate the cause of death and Bring back the remains. @MinisterKTR @KTRoffice @BTR_KTR.”
Explaining her daughter’s distress, Ayesha Maryam said: “Afsha was looking for a job, and two local agents, Imran (6305766705) and Ahmadi (8688895679), offered her a job as a maid in Ajman, UAE, and since then Been working as a maid for two years since last year.”
The mother further added: “Today around 1:30pm I received a call from Shafi +971582228065 and Fatima: +971569824473 that my daughter jumped to her death from the office on the fifth floor of Mohammed (+971502397838).”
“I don’t know what happened to my daughter, please step in and let me know what happened to my daughter,” she added.
