The F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is less than three months away, where the likes of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton will burn rubber and around 100 women in robes and sheilas will race the iconic Yas Marina circuit Lead the way with exhilarating driving this Sunday.
Ringing in the most glamorous way possible on UAE Women’s Day, the second edition of the Abaya Rally will feature engineers, athletes, entrepreneurs, actresses, cyclists, singers, social media influencers, car enthusiasts and even more Talented people overcome stereotypes in their respective fields.
Among other events, the Al Raha Beach Hotel will feature a red carpet, gowned fashion show, panel discussions and an awards gala honoring outstanding female leaders.
Female achievers of all ages are excited to demonstrate the “power of the robe” on the F1 circuit.
Dr. Suaad Al Shamsi, the UAE’s first female Emirati aircraft engineer, said: “If you can dream, you can do it. If you can do it, you can achieve it, and you will succeed.” Just follow your dreams and Believe. “
An all-female rally that promotes empowerment and equality will see dozens of winners working for the change they stand for. It will be organised by Orbit Events and Promotions under the auspices of the UAE Motor Sports Organisation.
Pragna Vaya, managing director of Orbit Events, said the event celebrates the determination of these women to overcome the challenges they faced and achieve great things.
The multi-talented Dr Walaa Ahmed Al Shehhi said: “Abaya Rally brings together women from all walks of life to show that they can have all the fun and drive a more capable, stronger, more successful and more sustainable world. “Electrical engineer, author and life coach.

Panel discussions at Al Raha Beach Hotel will focus on topics such as female empowerment, leadership, career excellence, well-being and steps towards gender equality.
Kamal Zayati, general manager of the Al Raha Beach Hotel, said the event allowed Emirati women to “receive the recognition they deserve for their continued outstanding contribution to the development of the country”.
The inaugural Abaya Rally took place on UAE National Day 2020.
