Europe’s largest nuclear power plant has been partially reconnected to Ukraine’s power grid, according to the Ukrainian nuclear operator. As recently as Thursday, all lines at the factory were disconnected. The Ukrainian government said the nuclear disaster was narrowly avoided.

Thousands of Russian citizens, including family members of government officials, have come to Europe despite sanctions imposed on Russia for its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Nearly one million Russian nationals have come to Europe, according to the European Border Service.
