kabul [Afghanistan]BEIJING, May 7 (Xinhua) According to TOLOnews, students in Helmand Province, Afghanistan called on the Taliban to rebuild the dilapidated schools.
To learn in a stable environment, students in the province have raised their concerns, saying schools are not built in such a way that there are no toilets.
“The problem we are facing is that our schools are not built properly and there are no toilets. It is very cold in winter,” said one student, Abdul Ali, according to TOLOnews.
“The office and our classrooms are old and our school doesn’t have four walls. There is not enough room in the classroom for all of us to sit,” Zamir, another Afghan student, said in a separate statement, lamenting his dilemma.

Residents of Helmand are also urging the current government to speed up the process of rebuilding schools.
“There are 350 to 400 students here. We asked them to build a school here for us,” said Pir Mohammad, a Helmand native.
Despite the restrictions imposed by the Taliban’s de facto government, especially on children and women, aid and humanitarian organizations remain committed to continuing to provide life-saving support to the Afghan people in 2023.
Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly urged the international community to continue to stand in solidarity with the Afghan people and to provide them with assistance during these trying times. (Arnie)
