According to the Ministry of Defense, the purpose of the exercise is to build positive military-to-military relationships, learn from each other’s best practices, and increase the ability to operate together while conducting company-level subroutine operations in urban and semi-urban environments under a United Nations mandate. In addition to developing interoperability, goodwill, camaraderie and friendship between the two militaries.

The scope of the exercise includes a battalion-level command post exercise (CPX) and a company-level field training exercise (FTX). During the exercise, participants will engage in various missions, testing their operational acumen in various simulated situations; demonstrating and improving their tactical maneuvers, and learning from each other’s combat experience.

The Ministry of Defense stated that “Ajeya Warrior” is another important milestone in the defense cooperation between the Indian Army and the British Army and will further promote the bilateral relations between the two countries.

The exercise is part of an initiative to develop interoperability and share expertise with foreign friendly nations.

Both armies participated in the joint military exercise. It is designed to provide training for soldiers from both countries in counterinsurgency and counterterrorism operations. It turned out to be an excellent strategy for strengthening the bond between them. (Arnie)
