An official letter from the Dalai Lama was quoted in the CIRCA press release as saying, “We must constantly consider the oneness of humanity and remember that we all want to be happy. In fact, everyone has the right to a happy life. Along the way, we may Facing problems, but don’t lose hope, be firm in your resolve, and don’t rush for success.”
The three-minute animation produced by the Dalai Lama contains a message in which he calls on the world to consider hope and the oneness of humanity.
The 87-year-old spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 and the Congressional Gold Medal in 2006. The four major commitments of the Dalai Lama in his life are to promote human values - kindness and compassion, religious harmony, preservation of Tibetan culture and environment, and the revival of ancient Indian wisdom.
Addressing the world in a video message recorded from his office in Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama said: “I am trying to promote a sense of oneness among seven billion people. This world, we must live together.”
CIRCA’s press release also mentioned that a series of promising commissions will be broadcast on its global platform this year. The organization also invites the public to visit the website circa.art to answer the question “How do we create hope?”
Published alongside the Dalai Lama’s responses, an edited selection of contributions will constitute the first CIRCA book. (Arnie)
