The day will be celebrated in full force after three years of COVID restrictions. All 20 Dzongkhags in the main administrative regions of Bhutan will begin the day with prayers and offerings of butter lamps for the King’s longevity.
In the capital, Thimphu, the celebrations will be held at the Changlimithang venue, with the prime minister of Bhutan as the main guest, according to news reports.
