Bangalore (Karnataka) [India]Feb 13 (ANI): Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tariq Ahmad Siddiq’s security adviser on the sidelines of the Air India exhibition in Bengaluru on Monday.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also met Zimbabwean Defense Minister Opa Cham Zwinpange Muchinguri, Tanzanian Defense Minister Basongwa Innocent Luga and Congolese Defense Minister Charles Riley Chad Monjo.

Singh held bilateral meetings with Bangladeshi Major General Tariq Ahmad Siddiq, Nepalese Defense Minister Hari Prasad Upreti and Sri Lankan Defense Minister Premita Bandara Tanakorn talks.

After meeting Nepal’s Defense Minister Uprety, Singh tweeted: “Great interaction with Nepal’s Defense Minister Shri Hari Prasad Uprety during the #AeroIndiaShow in Bengaluru. We look forward to continuing to work together to further deepen our close partnership and share interest .”

Earlier today, the Prime Minister inaugurated the 14th edition of Asia’s largest air show, Aero India 2023, at the Air Force Base in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

On the same day, the Prime Minister also issued commemorative stamps.

The five-day event, themed ‘Runway to a Billion Opportunity’, will showcase India’s developments in aerospace and defense capabilities.

It will showcase indigenous equipment/technology and form partnerships with foreign companies in line with the vision of a secure and prosperous future of ‘Make in India, Made for the World’.

In his speech, the Defense Minister praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his stewardship of India on the world political and economic map and singled out his strong commitment to the country’s industrial and economic growth. He describes Aero India as a manifestation of this determination.

Rajnath Singh asserts that India has emerged as a promising manufacturing destination due to its business-friendly environment and cost competitiveness.

“Thanks to the vision and determination of our Prime Minister, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world. In the next 4-5 years, India is expected to become the third largest economy.
