birmingham [UK]April 19 (ANI): At least four people, including two teenage boys, have been arrested in connection with violence in Birmingham, England, local news reports in the country.

According to BirminghamLive, police were in a joint operation with Trading Standards to crack down on illegal traders along Coventry Road on Saturday, April 15, when they were attacked by flying missiles.

According to Birmingham, West Midlands Police said that two 16-year-old boys and a 23-year-old and 42-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assaulting the police and violent disturbance respectively.

The scenes were captured on viral footage and condemned as “immoral and disgraceful”. Police, accompanied by religious leaders and community members, continued their evening patrols after the trouble, saying they were trying to reassure residents and businessmen and ensure that Ramzan celebrations proceeded peacefully and safely.

Inspector Gary Everitt said: “We know a small number of people were involved in the violence on Saturday night and I would like to thank the wider community for their continued support,” Inspector Gary Everitt said, BirminghamLive reported.
