WORLD NEWS | Fujairah to host 2025 World Junior Taekwondo Championships

Fujairah [UAE]May 28 (ANI/WAM): At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) in Baku, Azerbaijan today, chaired by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF), Fujairah was announced The emirate will host the 2025 World Junior Taekwondo Championships.

In addition, the board revealed that the Chinese city of Da Nei will host the World Senior Taekwondo Championships.

Dr Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, said: “The directives and vision of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammad bin The continuous support of His Excellency Mad Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Honorary President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation and their generous patronage is the engine that drives the development of sports in the emirate and lays the foundation for extraordinary achievements in various fields, especially Martial arts.”

“The hosting of this tournament reflects the ITF’s confidence in the leadership of the UAE and the Emirate of Fujairah in organizing a sporting event of this magnitude,” added Al Zeyoudi. “We are committed to making all the necessary arrangements and preparations to organize this competition in accordance with the best standards.”

Dr. Al Zeyoudi thanked Mohamed Murad Al Balushi, UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and members of the Embassy in Baku.

The Emirate of Fujairah has established an admirable position as a destination of choice for martial arts, particularly known for its taekwondo halls and stadiums that meet the highest ITF standards.

Besides Dr. Al Zeyoudi, Abdullah Al Samahi, Secretary-General of the UAE Taekwondo Federation, and Nader Abu Shawish, Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club were also present. (ANI/WAM)
