ISLAMABAD, Sept. 30 (PTI) Pakistan’s Prime Minister Sheikh Baz Sharif said on Friday that an audio leak of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan had debunked claims that he was ousted through a foreign conspiracy, noting that The “hateful face” of the former prime minister has been revealed to the nation.

A leaked tape of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has allegedly surfaced as he talks about using a controversial code from Pakistan’s special envoy in Washington to paint his ouster in a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly in April as a conspiracy .

The video, circulating on social media, recounts a conversation between Khan and his then chief secretary, Azam Khan, over a message sent by Pakistan’s ambassador to Washington, Asad Majeed, about his relationship with a U.S. Password for officer meeting.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asia Donald Lew is at the heart of what Khan claims is a U.S.-backed conspiracy for regime change.

He accused Lew of threatening Asad Majeed, Pakistan’s former ambassador to the United States, saying failure to remove Khan through a vote of no confidence would herald “consequences” for Pakistan and vice versa.

After laying the foundation stone for Islamabad’s Bhara Kahu bypass, Prime Minister Sharif accused Khan at the ceremony of deceiving the country through false claims.

“When will [your] Lies survived … I don’t think there is a more heinous crime,” he said.

“Everything became clear after the audio leak on Wednesday,” Sharif said, adding that Khan’s “hateful face” had been revealed to the nation.

Sharif said that in “the 40 years I’ve spent under my brother” he has not seen a more “irresponsible person and a bigger liar” than Khan.

Khan was ousted in April following a vote of no confidence in his leadership, which he claimed was part of a US-led conspiracy against him over his independent foreign policy decisions on Russia, China and Afghanistan.

Referring to the audio leak, Sharif accused his predecessor of asking his then chief secretary to “plan a conspiracy against Pakistan”.

“And Imran even conspired to divide the country’s institutions,” he claimed.

“There are no two ways. But the most serious conspiracy against Pakistan is that he slandered the country’s politicians, calling them traitors,” he lamented.

Sharif went on to add that Pakistan is “ashamed” that Imran lied in foreign conspiracy theories to overthrow his government.

Sharif said Imran’s charges were “the most serious conspiracy against Pakistan”.

In the leaked audio, Khan is heard saying: “We just have to play with this (password). We don’t have to name it [any country]. We just have to play this, this date (no confidence motion) is [decided] before (it worked against him). “

The second voice was apparently that of Azam Khan, who was heard suggesting a meeting on the password.

“Look, if you remember, the ambassador last wrote to [send] an act. Even if I didn’t send it, I thought about it a lot at night – you said they brought it up – and I also thought about how to cover it all up.

“Let us meet with Shah Mahmood Qureshi (Foreign Minister of Imran’s government) and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Shah Mahmood Qureshi will read the letter and whatever he reads will be converted into a copy. Then I will do it for a few minutes [out of it and say] The Foreign Secretary is ready.

“But its (crypto) analysis has to be done here. We’ll do the analysis and convert it to minutes as needed to make it [part of] Official records,” said the former chief secretary.

The leak is the latest in a series of tapes of conversations recorded by the Prime Minister’s Office.

On Friday, authorities completed the commissioning of the Prime Minister’s Office following an explosive audio leak of a recent secret conversation.
